Responsible gambling
Gambling should be entertainment you pay for, like a night out, never a way to make money. The house always has an edge, so over time you will lose more than you win.
Before you play
- Decide on a budget you can afford to lose, and stick to it.
- Set a time limit, and take breaks.
- Use the deposit, loss and session limits every reputable casino offers.
- Never gamble when you are upset, drunk or trying to win back losses.
- You must be 18 or older (21 in some places) to gamble.
Warning signs
- Spending more money or time than you planned.
- Chasing losses or borrowing money to gamble.
- Hiding your gambling from people close to you.
- Feeling anxious, irritable or low when you are not gambling.
Tools that help
Most casinos let you set deposit limits, take a cool-off break or self-exclude for months or permanently, from your account settings or through support. Blocking software such as Gamban or BetBlocker (free) blocks gambling sites on all your devices.
