Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 slot review
Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 is Pragmatic Play's October 2026 seasonal edition of Big Bass Splash 1000, with a vampire fisherman and a pumpkin patch in place of the usual lake. It swaps the random pre-bonus modifiers for a pick-a-pumpkin choice and adds pumpkins that upgrade the round mid-bonus. The standard version pays 96.50% RTP with medium volatility and a 20,000x max win.

How to play Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000
Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 uses the standard Big Bass layout: five reels, three rows and 10 fixed paylines paying left to right. Stakes run from 0.10 to 250 per spin, with the top limit depending on the market and the casino.
The base game is about scatters. Three, four or five of them start free spins, and when only two land the game has a random chance to bring in more to complete the trigger. An ante bet costs 1.5x the stake and raises the chance of reaching the bonus.
Fish money symbols and fisherman wilds only matter inside free spins, so the base game works mainly as a waiting room. The Halloween dressing is new; the rhythm of play will be familiar to anyone who has tried a Big Bass game before.
Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 features explained
The headline change is the pumpkin pick. Before free spins begin, you choose from six pumpkins, and what you reveal decides which upgrades the round starts with. Up to five can be unlocked.
- More Fisherman: adds more fisherman wilds, which collect fish and advance the retrigger meter.
- More Fish: adds more fish money symbols, worth up to 1,000x the stake each.
- Start from Level 2: the round opens at the 2x multiplier stage instead of 1x.
- More Treats: raises the chance of random features activating on each spin.
- +2 Spins: adds two spins at the start and to later awards.
- Boot: a blank that gives no upgrade.
The pick is presented as a choice, but the result is random, so it adds involvement rather than strategy. It does make the start of each bonus feel different from the automatic modifier reveal in Big Bass Splash 1000.
The second new element is the pumpkin symbol. Pumpkins can land on the fifth reel at any point during free spins and switch on extra upgrades for the rest of the round, so a weak start can still improve.
Free spins, fishermen and random features
Three, four or five scatters award 10, 15 or 20 free spins. During the round, vampire fisherman wilds collect every fish money symbol on the same spin, with fish values reaching 1,000x.
Every fourth fisherman retriggers the round with 10 more spins and a higher win multiplier: 2x on the first retrigger, 3x on the second and 10x on the third and final one. Starting at level two through the pumpkin pick skips the first step, which is the most valuable upgrade in the set.
When fish land without a fisherman, or a fisherman lands with no fish, one of three random features can step in to add the missing piece. Reviews name them Trick or Treat, Spider and Bazooka, the Halloween versions of the series' usual dynamite, hook and bazooka effects.
Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 bonus buy options
| Feature | Cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Ante bet | 1.5× bet per spin | A higher chance of triggering free spins |
| Free Spins | 100× bet | Starts the bonus with at least 10 free spins |
| Super Free Spins | 450× bet | The bonus with a higher chance of landing a 1,000x fish |
The two buys follow the pricing of Big Bass Splash 1000. At a 1.00 stake, standard free spins cost 100.00 and Super Free Spins cost 450.00. The extra 350x pays for a better chance at the top fish value, not for more spins or a higher multiplier trail.
The ante bet is easier to live with because it is a 50% surcharge on each spin rather than a one-off charge. Buys and the ante are not available in every jurisdiction. We found no separate RTP figures for each mode.
Any bonus buy raises the cost per round sharply. Treat a 450x purchase as one high-risk bet and set a limit before you start.
Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 RTP, volatility and max win
The Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 RTP is 96.50% in its standard version, as listed on Pragmatic Play's game page. Casinos can also run 95.50% or 94.50% versions, so check the paytable before playing.
Volatility is medium, a step down from the high volatility of Big Bass Splash 1000. In practice that should mean a smoother run of bonus results, with fewer empty rounds and fewer extreme ones.
The max win is 20,000x the stake. That is 5,000x lower than Big Bass Splash 1000, a trade made in return for the gentler volatility. Reaching it would take the 10x stage with a screen of high-value fish, which very few rounds will see.
What makes this Big Bass different
The original Big Bass Bonanza has no pre-bonus modifiers and fish worth up to 2,000x. Big Bass Splash added random modifiers, scatter help and 5,000x fish. Big Bass Splash 1000 then capped fish at 1,000x, lifted the max win to 25,000x and added a 450x Super Free Spins buy.
Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 sits on top of that 1000 edition. Its changes are the six-pumpkin pick in place of the automatic modifier reveal, the pumpkin symbols that add upgrades mid-round, the Halloween random features, medium rather than high volatility and a 20,000x cap instead of 25,000x.
It is also a different game from Big Bass Halloween, the 2023 seasonal release with a much lower ceiling. The names are close, so check that the title on screen includes Splash 1000.
Who Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 suits
This edition suits players who like the 1000 versions but found the high volatility hard to sit through. Medium volatility with a 20,000x cap is an unusual pairing in the series, and the mid-round pumpkins give a bonus more ways to recover after a slow start.
Players who want the highest possible ceiling should stay with Big Bass Splash 1000. Those who find the Big Bass base game dull will not find much new here either; the changes are all inside the bonus.
The free demo is the best way to judge the pumpkin pick and the new random features before staking real money.
Our verdict on Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000
Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 is more than a reskin. The pumpkin pick, the mid-round pumpkin upgrades and the move to medium volatility give it a different feel from Big Bass Splash 1000, and a 20,000x cap is still large for a game this steady.
The base game is as quiet as ever and the 96.50% RTP is solid rather than generous. For players who want the 1000 format with a smoother ride, it is one of the better seasonal entries in the series.
Overall = 8.0×0.25 + 7.4×0.25 + 7.7×0.2 + 7.4×0.15 + 7.2×0.15 = 7.6. The score rates the game, not your odds of winning.

Not confirmed: Max win: casinos.com, win.gg and the body of the Vegas Slots Online article give 20,000x; that article's headline says 10,000x and casinos.com's stats box shows a 5,000,000 currency cap. Pragmatic Play's page does not state a max win. We used 20,000x. Co-developer: the game screen carries the Reel Kingdom logo, matching Vegas Slots Online. Pragmatic Play publishes and serves the game, so we list it as the provider. Pumpkin options, random feature names (Trick or Treat, Spider, Bazooka) and bonus buy prices come from win.gg; Pragmatic Play's page confirms the six-pumpkin pick, up to five modifiers and three random features but not the names or prices. The 1.5x ante is confirmed by the game screen. Volatility: medium per casinos.com, win.gg and Vegas Slots Online; Pragmatic Play's page does not state it. Stake exclusivity: Stake's page was blocked from our network, so we could not check for an Only on Stake label; no source suggests one.
