How to play Candy Swipe MatchWin
Candy Swipe MatchWin works like the match-3 phone games most people have played at some point, with one big difference: every move is a separate paid round. You set your bet, then swap two neighbouring candies on the 7x7 board. If the swap lines up three or more of the same colour, they break, the board refills from above, and any new matches that form also break.
There are no paylines and no reels. Six ordinary candy colours fill the board, and the game counts how many candies you break during the move. Every three broken candies make one chain, and chains are what pay. Bets run from 0.01 to 500 per move on Stake, which covers both very small and very large stakes.
Because you pick the swap, the game feels more hands-on than a normal slot. The outcome of each move is still decided by the game's certified maths, so choosing a clever swap does not change your long-run return. Think of the puzzle as presentation, not a skill edge.
How Candy Swipe MatchWin chain pays work
The pay system is the part most players need to read twice. The first chain in any move pays nothing. Every chain after that pays a small fixed slice of your bet, so a move only starts to return real money once the cascades keep running for a while.
The per-chain value is 0.05x the bet. Stake's own worked example uses that figure, and SlotCatalog's breakdown agrees, listing 2 chains as 0.05x and 10 chains as 0.45x. At that rate you need around 21 chains, or more than 60 broken candies in one move, just to get your bet back without help from multipliers.
That is why the multiplier candies matter so much. Any multipliers broken during a move add together into one round multiplier, which is then applied to all of that move's chains. Stake's rules say the multiplier is applied to the chains first and the free first chain is removed afterwards. With a 5x total, for example, a move needs only about five chains to reach break-even.
Candy Swipe MatchWin features explained
- Multiplier candies: Values from 2x to 10x. Every one you break in a move adds to the round multiplier, so two or three in a single cascade can turn a modest chain count into a solid win.
- Rockets: Clear a straight line of candies out to the edge of the board, which feeds extra broken candies into the chain count.
- Bombs: Clear a 3x3 area around where they go off.
- Shuffle symbol: A rare symbol that wipes and refills the whole board. SlotCatalog notes that it also ends the turn.
- Ice blocks: Frozen tiles that can hide multipliers underneath.
- Magic candies: Special candies that fill a three-slot magic meter. The meter keeps its progress between moves, so a partly filled meter carries over to your next round.
The tools are simple, but they fit together well. Rockets and bombs exist mainly to push the chain count higher, and multiplier candies decide whether that count is worth anything. Most moves will end with a handful of chains and a small or zero return.
The Ice Bonus and other bonus games
Filling all three slots of the magic meter triggers the Ice Bonus. You get five moves on a board that has two rows of ice blocks. Breaking candies next to a block cracks it, and each block needs two or three cracks before it breaks open.
Every ice block holds a multiplier. SlotCatalog's breakdown says the block multipliers are added up at the end and applied to the chains. Each magic candy you break during the round adds one more move, so a lucky run can stretch well past the starting five.
There are no free spins in the usual sense. The Ice Bonus plays that role, and the persistent meter means the trigger builds over a session rather than landing out of nowhere. That gives the game a sense of progress that most reel slots lack.
Candy Swipe MatchWin bonus buy options
| Feature | Cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Extra Luck (ante) | 2x bet per move | Higher chance of reaching the Ice Bonus on each move |
| Enhanced Moves | 50x bet per move | A boosted move mode; SlotCatalog says it guarantees multiplier breaks and adds more bombs and rockets |
| Ice Bonus | 100x bet | Direct entry to the Ice Bonus with its five starting moves |
| Multi Mayhem | 1,000x bet per move | The premium per-move mode, and by far the most expensive option |
Extra Luck doubles the cost of every move. SlotCatalog puts the improvement at about 2.5 times the normal bonus chance, but Stake does not publish a figure, so treat that as unconfirmed.
The other three options need care. Enhanced Moves and Multi Mayhem are charged per move, not per bonus, so a short session can burn through a balance quickly. A 1 dollar base bet means 50 dollars a move in Enhanced Moves and 1,000 dollars a move in Multi Mayhem. The 100x Ice Bonus buy is the most familiar format, priced in line with many standard bonus buys. Every bonus buy raises the cost per round and none of them promise a profit.
Candy Swipe MatchWin RTP, volatility and max win
Stake lists the Candy Swipe MatchWin RTP as 96.60%, which is slightly above the common 96% benchmark. Some review sites quote 96.7%, and one lists a range of 96.40% to 96.70% depending on the mode, so the buy features may run at slightly different returns. We use Stake's 96.60% as the standard figure.
Volatility is high. The free first chain and the low 0.05x chain value mean many moves return little or nothing, while the big results depend on long cascades meeting stacked multipliers. Expect long quiet stretches.
The Candy Swipe MatchWin max win is 49,999.95x the bet per move. That puts it in the top tier for potential, though wins of that size will be extremely rare given how the pay system is built.
Is there a Candy Swipe MatchWin demo?
Stake usually offers a free demo mode on its game pages, and a demo is the best way to learn the chain system before staking money. It is worth watching how often the first-chain rule leaves a move at zero, and how much a single multiplier candy changes the result.
Review sites list the game as exclusive to Stake, built on the Stake Engine platform. SlotCatalog listed its own demo as unavailable at the time of writing.
Who Candy Swipe MatchWin suits
Candy Swipe MatchWin suits players who are tired of reels and want something that looks and plays differently. If you enjoy match-3 puzzles, the board will feel natural, and the persistent magic meter adds a reason to keep track of progress across a session.
It is a weaker fit for anyone who wants steady small wins. The pay system is front-loaded against short cascades, and the high volatility is real. Players on a tight budget should stay on the base game at a low stake and avoid the per-move buy modes entirely.
Compared with Coreffect Interactive's earlier Stake titles, such as the candy-themed Cut N' Crash, this is the studio's most complex rule set so far. It rewards reading the paytable first.
Our verdict on Candy Swipe MatchWin
Candy Swipe MatchWin is one of the more original games to reach Stake this year. Turning a match-3 board into a bet-per-move game with chain pays is a fresh idea, and the multiplier candies, rockets, bombs and the carry-over magic meter give each move some real tension. The 96.60% RTP and 49,999.95x top prize are both strong on paper.
The catch is the maths behind the candy look. With the first chain free and each extra chain worth only 0.05x, most moves return very little unless multipliers land, and the per-move buy modes get expensive fast. Try the demo, learn how chains add up, and keep stakes modest. It is a clever game, not an easy one.
Overall = 8.2×0.25 + 8.0×0.25 + 8.5×0.2 + 7.0×0.15 + 6.5×0.15 = 7.8. The score rates the game, not your odds of winning.

Not confirmed: Per-chain value: Stake's game page says 0.5x in its rule text but 0.05x in its worked example (27 x 0.05 = 1.35x). We use 0.05x because the worked example and SlotCatalog's chain table (2 chains = 0.05x, 10 chains = 0.45x) both support it. RTP: Stake lists 96.60%. Bonustiime and Rocky Affiliates quote 96.7%, SlotCatalog says 96.6% with a possible 96.7% version, and Bonustiime lists 96.40% to 96.70% across modes. Max win: Stake and SlotCatalog's text give 49,999.95x. SlotCatalog's table says 49,999x, and Bonustiime's tables show 50,000x and 4,999,995x. Bet range: Stake lists 0.01 to 500. SlotCatalog's text says up to 300 euros and Bonustiime says 0.10 to 1,000 euros. Extra Luck: the roughly 2.5x higher bonus chance comes from SlotCatalog only; Stake gives no figure. Multi Mayhem: what the mode changes is not described in any source we could read; only its 1,000x per-move price is confirmed. Release date: 14 October 2026 from SlotCatalog and Bonustiime, matching Stake's 'Released 1 week ago' on 21 October.
