Dragon's Keep slot review
Dragon's Keep is an Uppercut Gaming cluster slot made on Stake Engine and sold only at Stake, set in a sunlit crystal cave watched over by a cartoon baby dragon. It plays on a 5×5 grid with tumbling reels, and its main feature is the square Dragon Wild, which lands in sizes from 1×1 up to 4×4 with a multiplier attached. Stake lists a 96.00% RTP, high volatility and a 25,000x maximum win.

How to play Dragon's Keep
Dragon's Keep has no paylines. Matching symbols that connect into a cluster pay, the winning symbols disappear, and new ones tumble in to fill the gaps. A single spin can produce several wins in a row before it ends.
Stake's page lists a bet range of 0.01 to 2,000 per spin, a very wide spread that covers both small and high-roller budgets. Slotcatalog shows 0.10 to 100, which may reflect a different market, so the in-game panel is the final word.
Coloured gems fill most of the grid, alongside a crown, a shield, a scroll and a crystal sword. The two special symbols are the Dragon Wild, drawn as a dragon egg marked W, and the Bonus symbol, a baby blue dragon, which never forms clusters or substitutes.
Dragon's Keep features explained
The Dragon Wild is what makes the game. Unlike a standard one-cell wild, it lands as a square block, and the size decides how many clusters it can reach.
- Block sizes: Dragon Wilds land from 1×1 up to 4×4. A 4×4 block covers 16 of the 25 cells.
- Multipliers: every Dragon Wild carries a random multiplier, and the intro screen shows one at 1,000x. When a winning cluster touches several wilds, their values are added together.
- Staying power: a wild that does not take part in a win can stay on the grid for later tumbles, giving it more chances to connect.
The block wild is a sensible fit for a cluster game. A large wild in the middle of a 5×5 grid links symbols that would otherwise never touch, and a wild that survives a tumble gets another go with fresh symbols around it. Because multipliers add rather than multiply, results are more even than the block sizes might suggest.
Dragon's Keep free spins and bonus modes
Bonus symbols trigger the free spins, and the game's intro screen sets out how many: three for the Bonus, four for the Super Bonus and five for the Epic Bonus.
- Bonus (3 Bonus symbols): 10 free spins with a higher chance of Dragon Wilds landing.
- Super Bonus (4 Bonus symbols): 10 free spins where every Dragon Wild lands with at least a 5x multiplier.
- Epic Bonus (5 Bonus symbols): the top round, also one of the outcomes of the Mystery buy. Its rules are not described in the sources we checked.
The 5x floor in the Super Bonus is the meaningful upgrade. In the standard round a wild can carry a low value, while in Super every one of them is worth at least five times the cluster it joins.
Dragon's Keep bonus buy and boost options
Stake lists Dragon's Keep among its bonus buy games, and the menu offers two boosts and five purchases. The prices of the purchases are not given in any text source we could check.
| Option | Cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Super Boost | 2x bet per spin | Higher chance of a bonus trigger, with no guarantee |
| Hyper Boost | 10x bet per spin | A much higher chance of a bonus trigger |
| Dragon's Hoard | Not published | One spin with at least one Dragon Wild of 2×2 or larger; Bonus symbols removed |
| Dragon's Wrath | Not published | As Dragon's Hoard, with every wild at least 10x |
| Mystery | Not published | Super Bonus, Epic Bonus or a dead spin |
| Bonus | Not published | 10 free spins |
| Super Bonus | Not published | 10 free spins with 5x minimum wilds |
Without the prices we cannot judge value properly, and that is the main gap in this review. The Hyper Boost at 10x per spin is a steep running cost, and on the 2,000 maximum stake it would take a single spin to 20,000. All boosts and buys raise the cost per round sharply and none of them improves your long-run return.
Dragon's Keep RTP, volatility and max win
The Dragon's Keep RTP is 96.00%, a 4.00% house edge, which is about the industry average. Stake, Slotcatalog, Stake.us listings and RG all give the same figure.
Volatility is high according to Stake, RG and BonusTiime. The maximum win is 25,000x the bet, confirmed by every source and by the game's intro screen. In October 2026 Stake.us ran a community challenge for the first player to hit 5,000x on the game.
Do not confuse this slot with Gold Coin Studios' older Dragon's Keep, a 5×3 game with 25 paylines, a 96.06% RTP and a 10,000x cap. The two share a name and nothing else.
Dragon's Keep demo and who it suits
Stake's game page normally offers free play for Stake Engine slots, and a Dragon's Keep demo is the right way to learn how often large Dragon Wilds appear before risking money.
The slot suits cluster players who like a single strong mechanic and a wide bet range, from 0.01 up to high-roller stakes. It is a weaker pick for anyone who wants an above-average RTP or a cap above 25,000x, and bonus buyers should check prices in the game first.
Our verdict on Dragon's Keep
Dragon's Keep takes a simple idea, a wild that lands as a square block, and builds a tidy cluster slot around it. Wilds that survive tumbles and add their multipliers give the base game a steady sense of progress, and the Super Bonus 5x floor is a clear reward for reaching the stronger round.
The rest is average. A 96.00% RTP and a 25,000x cap are fair rather than strong, the cute baby-dragon theme is pleasant but familiar, and the buy prices are not published in any source we could check. It is a sound choice for cluster fans, but not a standout among Stake's exclusives.
Overall = 7.0×0.25 + 7.0×0.25 + 8.0×0.2 + 6.5×0.15 + 6.5×0.15 = 7.1. The score rates the game, not your odds of winning.
