Gates of Olympus Super Scatter slot review

Gates of Olympus Super Scatter is Pragmatic Play's 2025 take on its Zeus slot, and it adds one new symbol rather than bigger multipliers. Super Scatters can land with an ordinary bonus trigger and pay fixed prizes of up to 50,000x the bet, the highest cap in the series. The RTP is 96.50%, and the game rates its own volatility as medium.

How to play Gates of Olympus Super Scatter

Gates of Olympus Super Scatter uses the same layout as the rest of the series: a 6x5 grid of gems, goblets, rings, hourglasses and crowns, with Zeus standing beside it. There are no paylines and no wilds. Eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid make a win, and groups of 10 or 12 pay more.

Every win triggers a tumble. Winning symbols vanish, new ones fall in, and the spin continues for as long as new wins appear. The gold crown is the top regular symbol, paying 50x for 12 or more. The gems sit at the bottom of the table, with the blue gem paying 2x for 12 or more.

Bets run from 0.20 to 240 per spin on most international sites, with lower caps in the UK. That covers both small and high stakes, and the ante option adds 50% on top of whichever bet you choose.

What makes Gates of Olympus Super Scatter different from the original, 1000 and 2500

With four main versions now on Stake, it helps to know exactly what this one changes.

  • Original Gates of Olympus: orbs up to 500x and a 5,000x max win.
  • Gates of Olympus 1000: orbs up to 1,000x and a 15,000x max win, with the same single free spins round.
  • Gates of Olympus Super Scatter: keeps the original 500x orb cap, but adds Super Scatter symbols with fixed prizes up to 50,000x, plus a Super Free Spins buy.
  • Gates of Olympus 2500: orbs up to 2,500x, a 25,000x max win and a wheel that picks one of four free spins modes.

So the Super Scatter version is not a bigger-multiplier upgrade. Its orbs are smaller than in the 1000 and 2500. What it offers instead is a separate route to a large win: the fixed Super Scatter prizes, which do not depend on clusters or multipliers at all. That makes its 50,000x cap the highest in the series, but also by far the hardest to reach.

Gates of Olympus Super Scatter feature explained

Super Scatter symbols can land on any reel during the base game. They pay only when they arrive as part of a bonus trigger: you need four or more scatters of any kind on screen, and at least one of them must be a Super Scatter. The prize depends on how many Super Scatters are in that group.

Super ScattersPrize
1100x bet
2500x bet
35,000x bet
450,000x bet

Even one Super Scatter in a trigger is worth 100x, which matches the price of a standard bonus buy. Two or more are rare, and four is a true long shot: OLBG puts the full 50,000x at about 1 in 667 million spins. Super Scatters do not appear during free spins, so this is purely a base game feature.

The idea is simple and easy to follow. It adds a moment of suspense to every bonus trigger, because you are checking not only whether the round starts but also what kind of scatters started it.

Orb multipliers and free spins

Orb multiplier symbols can land on any spin or tumble, carrying random values from 2x to 500x. When the tumble sequence ends, all orb values on the grid are added together and applied to the total win. In the base game they reset after each paid spin.

Four or more Zeus scatters trigger 15 free spins, and the scatters themselves pay 3x, 5x or 100x for four, five or six. During the round, three or more scatters add five spins, with no limit on retriggers.

The free spins use a total multiplier. Every orb that lands on a winning spin adds its value to the total, which never resets during the round. Each later win is multiplied by the new orbs plus the running total, so a round that collects a few early orbs can grow quickly in its last spins. Review data puts the natural trigger at roughly one in 438 spins.

Gates of Olympus Super Scatter bonus buy and ante bet

OptionCostWhat you get
Double Chance (ante)1.5x betAbout twice the chance of landing scatters and Super Scatters
Buy Free Spins100x bet15 free spins, orbs from 2x to 500x
Buy Super Free Spins500x bet15 free spins with every orb worth at least 10x

The ante here costs 50% extra, double the 25% charged in Gates of Olympus 1000, and it raises the chance of Super Scatters as well as normal ones. OLBG lists its RTP at 96.55%, slightly above the base setting, so it is the cheapest way to chase triggers more often if your balance allows.

The Super Free Spins buy is only available through the buy menu. At 500x it is five times the standard buy, and since Super Scatters never land during free spins, the round's ceiling depends entirely on the orbs. Every buy and ante raises the cost per round, and feature buys are blocked in some countries, including the UK.

Gates of Olympus Super Scatter RTP, volatility and max win

The standard Gates of Olympus Super Scatter RTP is 96.50%, confirmed by SlotCatalog, OLBG and Action Network. Lower 95.50% and 94.50% versions exist, and the casino chooses which one to offer, so check the paytable before you play.

The game labels itself Medium volatility on its intro screen, while SlotCatalog, Action Network and OLBG rate it high or very high. We go with the game's own label. Review data lists a hit rate of about 27.8%, or one win in every 3.6 spins, and a win of 1,000x or more roughly once in 48,800 spins. Medium here does not mean smooth: quiet runs between bonuses still happen, and the biggest Super Scatter prizes stay far out of reach.

The Gates of Olympus Super Scatter max win is 50,000x the bet, ten times the original game. It is the series high, but the odds matter: the 2500 version's 25,000x cap is rated at about 1 in 13.5 million, roughly 50 times more likely than this game's 50,000x.

Is there a Gates of Olympus Super Scatter demo?

Yes. Pragmatic Play runs a free Gates of Olympus Super Scatter demo with play money, and you can open it on this page without registering. It is a good way to see how often Super Scatters show up and how the total multiplier behaves in free spins.

Remember that demo luck is no guide to real play. Use it to learn the rules and the pace, not to judge your chances.

Who Gates of Olympus Super Scatter suits

Gates of Olympus Super Scatter suits players who like the classic version and want an extra layer of excitement on each trigger without a complicated menu. It has one ante and two buys, which keeps decisions simple.

It is less suited to players chasing big orbs, since the 500x cap is lower than in the 1000 and 2500. Treat the 50,000x top prize as a remote possibility rather than a target.

Our verdict on Gates of Olympus Super Scatter

Gates of Olympus Super Scatter is a smart variation on a proven slot. The base game and free spins are the familiar Zeus formula, and the Super Scatter adds a clear new reason to watch every trigger, with even a single one worth 100x. The 96.50% RTP is solid and the ante mode is rated slightly higher.

Its weakness is that the headline 50,000x is very unlikely, and the orbs stop at 500x, so the free spins have less ceiling than in the 1000 or 2500. If you want the simplest version with a fresh twist, this is a good pick. Try the demo first and keep bonus buys to amounts you can afford to lose.
