Gold Party slot review

Gold Party is a Pragmatic Play slot with an Irish-luck theme, and it has become one of the most played games on Stake. Instead of free spins it offers a Money Respin round played on four grids at once, with fairy multipliers and four fixed jackpots. It runs on a 5×3, 25-line layout with a 96.50% top RTP, low volatility and a 5,163x max win.

How to play Gold Party

Gold Party uses five reels, three rows and 25 fixed paylines. Line wins pay from left to right, and a golden tree wild on reels 2, 3 and 4 stands in for the regular symbols. The leprechaun leads the paytable, with premium symbols paying between 1.2x and 4x the bet for five of a kind.

Those line pays are small on purpose. Most of the game's value sits in two features: Copy Reels in the base game and the Money Respin bonus. Money symbols, which show cash values, can land as singles or doubles, and collecting enough of them is how you reach the bonus.

Bets run from 0.25 to 125 per spin. There is no ante bet and no volatility setting, so the only choice before a spin is your stake, plus a feature buy in markets where it is offered.

Gold Party features explained

Gold Party keeps its feature set short, and each part has a clear job.

  • Copy Reels: When the leprechaun lands as a full stack on reel 1, that stack is copied onto at least one more reel, and possibly all five. A full screen of the top symbol is the best base-game result, worth about 100x the bet.
  • Wild: The golden tree substitutes for paying symbols on the middle three reels and helps complete line wins.
  • Money symbols: Coins carrying cash values. They have no effect in a normal spin, but six or more anywhere on screen trigger the Money Respin.
  • Double Money symbols: Some money symbols land as doubles, which count for more towards the trigger and make the bonus easier to reach.

Copy Reels is the base game's main event. It does not appear often, but when it does it can turn a quiet session around, and it gives the game a second route to a decent win outside the bonus.

The Gold Party Money Respin bonus

Six or more money symbols trigger the Money Respin, which replaces the free spins found in most slots. The round plays on four separate 5×3 grids at the same time and starts with eight respins.

Money symbols lock in place, and blank positions spin again. Alongside cash values, two special symbols can appear. Fairy multipliers, worth 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x or 25x, boost the value of a random money symbol on one of the four grids. Coin Extra Spins symbols add one more respin, which keeps the round going for longer.

Filling every one of the 15 positions on a grid awards that grid's jackpot. With four grids in play, a strong round can fill more than one.

Minor50× bet
Major200× bet

All values are paid when the respins end. The total from the round, jackpots included, is capped at 5,163x the bet, and the feature stops early if it reaches that figure.

Gold Party bonus buy

Slotcatalog lists a Buy Money Respins option for 100x the bet, which guarantees at least six money symbols on the next spin and therefore starts the bonus. On a 1.00 stake that is 100 per purchase, and on the 0.25 minimum it is 25. The option is not offered to UK players, and not every review lists it, so check the game screen on Stake to see whether it is there.

A 100x buy is the usual Pragmatic Play price, but it suits this game less well than it suits multiplier slots. Many Money Respin rounds end with a modest collection of coins and perhaps a Mini or Minor jackpot, which can fall short of the cost. The Grand jackpot is what makes the bonus worth chasing, and filling a full grid is rare. Buying raises your cost per round sharply, so set a firm limit before you use it.

Gold Party RTP, volatility and max win

The Gold Party RTP is 96.50% in its top version, the figure listed on Pragmatic Play's game page and by casinos.com. Slotcatalog lists 95.48%, which is likely one of the lower settings operators can choose. The gap of about one percentage point raises the expected long-run cost of play from roughly 3.5% to roughly 4.5% of your total stake.

Gold Party labels itself low volatility on its intro screen, while some sites rate it high. The game's own rating points to smaller swings than the jackpot table suggests. Line wins are still small, so most of a session's value comes from the Money Respins, and filling a grid for a big jackpot remains rare.

The Gold Party max win is 5,163x the bet, which is 645,375 at the 125 maximum stake. Almost all of that comes from the 5,000x Grand jackpot; the rest is room for coins and other jackpots in the same round. It is a lower ceiling than many newer slots, but the jackpot table gives clear, fixed targets, which some players prefer to open-ended multipliers.

Gold Party and Gold Party 2: After Hours

Gold Party was popular enough to get a sequel, Gold Party 2: After Hours. The two games are separate titles with their own maths, so figures from one do not apply to the other. If you search for a demo, make sure you open the original, which uses a single 5×3 base layout and the four-grid Money Respin described here.

The original remains the simpler of the two, built around one bonus round and one base-game feature. That makes it a good starting point for players new to hold-and-win style respins.

Is there a Gold Party demo?

Yes. Pragmatic Play serves a free Gold Party demo from its demo server, and Stake offers the game in Fun Play mode. The demo plays with virtual credit and the same rules as the real game.

It is a good way to judge how often six money symbols land and how a typical Money Respin pays at your stake before you play for real.

Who Gold Party suits

Gold Party suits players who like hold-and-win respins and fixed jackpots more than tumbling grids. The four-grid bonus makes each round feel busy, and the clear jackpot table means you always know what you are aiming for. Its low volatility rating also makes it a gentler choice for smaller bankrolls than most jackpot games.

It is a weaker fit for players who want frequent base-game action or a very large cap. Line wins are small, Copy Reels is rare and a 5,163x ceiling is modest by current standards. Players who prefer multipliers that grow without a fixed limit should look elsewhere.

Our verdict on Gold Party

Gold Party is a tidy hold-and-win slot with a good idea at its centre. Running the Money Respin on four grids at once, with fairy multipliers and extra spins, gives the bonus more going on than the usual single-grid version, and the 96.50% top RTP is competitive.

The rest of the game is thin. Line wins are small, the base game depends heavily on the rare Copy Reels feature, and the 5,163x cap is mostly the Grand jackpot. It is an enjoyable choice for respin fans, but check the RTP version on Stake and treat the 100x buy, where offered, as an expensive option rather than a shortcut.
