How to play Lilith's Curse
Lilith's Curse is a straightforward line slot on the surface. Matching symbols on any of the 10 paylines across five reels and four rows pay out, and a small set of special symbols shapes the bigger results.
Stake's page gives a minimum bet of 0.01 per spin. Third-party databases disagree on the top stake, with one listing 100 and another 1,000, so check the bet panel before you play. Card ranks from 10 to A fill the lower end of the paytable.
Two symbols matter more than the rest. Lilith is the wild, and the Grimoire is the scatter that opens the bonus. On the reels it appears as a snake coiled around a skull, marked Bonus.
Lilith's Curse features explained
Most of the game happens around Lilith. Her rules are simple, but they change between the base game and the bonus.
- Full-reel wild: Lilith always covers a whole reel when she lands, so she touches all 10 paylines on that reel at once.
- Substitution: she replaces every paying symbol, but not the Grimoire scatter.
- Multipliers: Lilith can carry a multiplier that applies to the wins she is part of.
- Base game: she is not sticky and clears after each spin.
A single Lilith in the base game gives a modest lift, since she guarantees a wild across one reel. Two or three on the same spin are what produce a strong base-game result, because each one fills a column the lines have to pass through.
Lilith's Curse free spins and bonus modes
Three, four or five Grimoires open the bonus, and the number decides the mode. More Grimoires during the round can add extra free spins. The number of spins each mode starts with is not stated by the sources we checked.
- Lilith's Curse (3 Grimoires): the standard round. Every Lilith that lands becomes sticky and stays for the rest of the bonus.
- Cursed Super (4 Grimoires): the same rules, but the round starts with one Lilith already on the reels.
- Cursed Epic (5 Grimoires): starts with two Liliths carrying multipliers between 2x and 10x.
The growth rule is what gives the bonus its ceiling. Each time a sticky Lilith is part of a win, her multiplier doubles, and Stake states there is no cap on that multiplier. A Lilith that joins several wins in a row climbs from 2x to 4x, 8x, 16x and beyond, and once she is sticky she plays on every remaining spin.
That makes an early landing far more valuable than a late one. A Lilith who arrives on the first spin has the whole round to double, while one on the last spin only pays once.
Lilith's Curse bonus buy and ante options
The buy menu combines two ante bets with three one-off purchases. Prices are multiples of the base bet and come from BonusTiime's breakdown of the menu.
| Option | Cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Bonus Cursed Ante | 3x bet per spin | Higher chance of a bonus trigger |
| Bonus Blood Ante | 20x bet per spin | Higher trigger rate, and every bonus is Cursed Super or Cursed Epic |
| Bonus Mystery Curse | 300x bet | One spin that either misses or starts Cursed Super or Cursed Epic |
| Lilith's Reckoning | 1,000x bet | One spin with 2 to 5 Liliths carrying random multipliers from 2x to 4,096x |
| Lilith's Wrath | 2,000x bet | One spin with Liliths placed reel by reel; five Liliths pay the 50,000x max win |
There is no standard free spins buy in this list, which is unusual. The cheapest direct route, the Mystery Curse, can end in a dead spin, so the true average cost of reaching a bonus is higher than its 300x price.
The Blood Ante at 20x per spin is a steep ante by any standard, far above the 2x to 5x common on other slots. It suits only players who plan to chase the stronger modes over many spins. Lilith's Reckoning and Lilith's Wrath skip the free spins altogether and sell one large single-spin result. All of these options raise the cost per round sharply and none of them improves your expected return.
Lilith's Curse RTP, volatility and max win
The Lilith's Curse RTP is 96.70%, a 3.30% house edge, which is above average. Stake, Slotcatalog and BonusTiime all agree on that figure.
Volatility is high. With a full-reel wild doing most of the work and an uncapped doubling rule in the bonus, results are concentrated in the rare rounds where Liliths land early and keep winning.
The maximum win is 50,000x the bet. Every source we checked repeats it, and the game's own intro screen states it. The Lilith's Wrath buy shows how it is reached: five Liliths, one on each reel, pay the full cap. At a 0.01 stake that is 500, while at a 1 stake it is 50,000.
Theme and design
The theme is gothic horror in grey, purple and red, drawn in an anime style, with Lilith as a horned demon queen and snake-wrapped skulls as scatters. Stake describes the setting as the Underworld. It is a darker look than most of the Stake Engine catalogue, which leans towards cartoons.
A full-reel wild is also easy to follow visually, since it lights up a whole column. We found no description of the sound, so our design score covers the art and layout only.
Lilith's Curse demo and who it suits
Stake's game page offers a Lilith's Curse demo, which is worth using before real play. The doubling rule is easy to understand, but watching how often sticky Liliths join wins tells you more about the bonus than any rules screen.
The slot suits high-volatility players who like simple line games with one strong mechanic, and who are comfortable with long waits between bonuses.
It is a weaker choice for anyone on a small budget who wants to buy bonuses. There is no plain free spins buy, the cheapest route can miss, and the top options cost 1,000x and 2,000x.
Our verdict on Lilith's Curse
Lilith's Curse is built around one idea and does it well. A wild that always fills a reel, sticks in the bonus and doubles each time she wins gives the game a clear goal, and the uncapped multiplier is a real reason to care about every free spin.
The 96.70% RTP and 50,000x cap are strong for a Stake exclusive. The weak point is the buy menu: no standard bonus buy, a Mystery option that can miss, and a 20x ante that is steep even by high-risk standards. As a game to play spin by spin, it is one of Monolith's better efforts.
Overall = 8.4×0.25 + 7.5×0.25 + 8.6×0.2 + 7.0×0.15 + 6.5×0.15 = 7.7. The score rates the game, not your odds of winning.
