How to play Odin's Vault

The Odin's Vault slot has five reels and six rows with 28 fixed paylines. Line wins start on the leftmost reel, and the regular symbols are split into rune-marked card suits, which act as the royals, and Norse premiums such as the white horse, raven, drinking horn, axe and winged helmet.

Bets run from 0.10 to 50 per spin on Stake. That ceiling is lower than on many Stake Engine games, which matters mostly for high rollers; for everyone else, the 0.10 minimum keeps the game cheap to learn.

Line wins are only half the story. The real value comes from coins and collectors, and those appear when Odin's Eye lands. Many spins pass with small line payouts and nothing else. The spins that matter are the ones where the Eye fills the board with mystery symbols and the reveals line up.

Odin's Vault features explained

Odin's Eye drives almost everything in the game. When it lands, it chooses a random royal or premium symbol and converts every copy on the board into a Mystery Symbol. It can trigger more than once on the same drop. Each Mystery Symbol then reveals a coin or one of the special symbols below:

  • Coins: cash values in six tiers, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Sapphire, Ruby and Diamond, worth from 1x up to 50,000x your bet.
  • Collector: gathers the value of every coin and collector on the board. Other collectors can collect it too, while it stays in play, which lets values chain together.
  • Super Collector: works like the Collector but fires twice.
  • Board Multiplier: multiplies the coins in the cells around it, a local boost rather than a global one.
  • Coin Upgrader: removes the lowest coin tier from play. The first upgrade clears Bronze, so every coin is at least Silver.
  • Redrop: clears the royals and premiums and gives the board another chance to land Mystery Symbols.

There is also a Global Multiplier, unlocked by a key symbol, that applies to line wins and coin wins and grows when the wheels at the top of the screen spin. It carries over into the bonus rounds rather than resetting.

The order of reveals matters a great deal. An Upgrader before a Collector lifts every value the Collector picks up, and a Board Multiplier next to a Diamond coin is where very large results start. Most Odin's Eye drops end with a handful of low coins, which is why the game feels quiet between big moments.

Odin's Vault free spins tiers

Free spins come in four tiers, each with 10 spins. Landing a scatter during any bonus upgrades you to the next tier, so a modest trigger can climb.

  • Free Spins (3 scatters): Odin's Eye lands more often than in the base game.
  • Super Free Spins (4 scatters): the Eye lands more often, and the symbols it selects stay as Mystery Symbols for the rest of the round.
  • Legendary Free Spins (5 scatters): persistent selections, plus a guaranteed Coin Upgrader as the first coin feature.
  • Mythic Free Spins (5 scatters in a straight line or V shape): Odin's Eye is guaranteed on every spin, the first coin feature is an Upgrader, and selections persist.

Persistence is the key difference between tiers. Once a symbol set is locked as mystery symbols, every later spin in the round reveals more coins and specials in those positions. That is why Super Free Spins and above are worth far more than the entry tier, and why the scatter upgrade path is such a large part of the game's appeal.

Odin's Vault bonus buy options

FeatureCostWhat you get
Bonus Enhancer3× bet per spinBase spins with a higher chance of triggering a bonus
Degen Bonus Enhancer25× bet per spinA bonus upgrade is guaranteed if a bonus triggers
Trickster Spin75× bet per spinA spin that saves random Odin's Eye symbols
Bonus Buy200× betFree Spins (3-scatter tier)
Super Bonus Buy1,000× betSuper Free Spins (4-scatter tier)
FU Spin5,000× betA single spin with the board filled with Mystery Symbols

In practice, at a 1.00 bet the standard Bonus Buy costs 200 and the Super Bonus Buy 1,000. The FU Spin at 5,000x is an extremely expensive single spin; at the 50 top bet it would cost 250,000 for one spin.

Legendary and Mythic cannot be bought directly. The Super Bonus Buy plus a scatter upgrade during the round is the only paid route towards them. Stake Engine's data shows the same 96.70% RTP for every option, so buying changes how fast you spend and how wide the swings are, not what you get back on average. Bonus buys raise the cost per round considerably, and they are not offered in every region.

Odin's Vault RTP, volatility and max win

The Odin's Vault RTP is 96.70%, a house edge of 3.3%. Valkyrie, Stake and the independent databases we checked all agree on it, and the verified maths shows the same figure in every bet mode.

Volatility is at the very top of the scale. Valkyrie's own page calls it very high, Stake and BonusTiime say high, and SlotCatalog lists high but calls it very high in its review. We go with the provider. A game whose biggest prizes depend on persistent mystery symbols, coin upgrades and chained collectors will have long dry stretches.

The Odin's Vault max win is 500,000x your bet, a very high cap by any standard and the figure on the game's intro screen. The base game odds of reaching it are about 1 in 26.4 million spins according to Stake Engine's published data. Even at the 0.10 minimum the cap would be 50,000, so it is a theoretical ceiling rather than a target; treat any session as entertainment with a fixed budget.

Who Odin's Vault suits

Odin's Vault suits players who enjoy coin-and-collector slots and are comfortable with very high variance. If you like watching a board fill up and wondering which reveal comes next, the Odin's Eye mechanic delivers that tension on most feature drops.

It is a poor fit for short sessions on a small bankroll, and the 50 maximum bet will disappoint players used to staking more. Try the demo on Stake first to get a feel for how often Odin's Eye lands; our Stake review explains how the casino works.

Our verdict on Odin's Vault

Odin's Vault is a well-designed coin collector slot with a clear central idea. Odin's Eye turning whole symbol sets into mystery reveals gives every feature drop a sense of build-up, and the four free spins tiers with persistent selections and scatter upgrades create real progression. A 96.70% RTP across every mode and a 500,000x cap round out a strong package.

It is not for everyone. The volatility is extreme, the base game is often quiet, the buy prices climb to 5,000x, and the maximum bet is lower than on many rivals. For players who know what they are getting into and keep stakes modest, it is one of the more rewarding Valkyrie titles to learn.

Not confirmed: Paylines: Stake, SlotCatalog and BonusTiime give 28; Valkyrie's game page shows 20 paylines on 5×3, which looks like a template default. The game screen confirms the 5×6 grid; we use 28 paylines. Volatility: Valkyrie says Very High; Stake and BonusTiime say High; SlotCatalog lists High but calls it very high in its text. We use Very high. Max bet: Stake and SlotCatalog say 50; Valkyrie says 100; BonusTiime says 1,000. We use 50. Release date: Valkyrie says 2026-08-14, BonusTiime 2026-08-15, SlotCatalog 2026-08-17 (approximate). Max win odds per buy mode: BonusTiime lists 1 in 8K for the 200x Bonus and 1 in 30.9K for the 1,000x Super Bonus, an ordering that looks inconsistent, so we only quote the base game odds. Global Multiplier: how the key symbol and top wheels work in detail was not confirmed from a primary source.
