How to play The Last Harvest
The Last Harvest slot plays on a large 8×8 grid with cluster pays: matching symbols that touch form wins, and winning clusters are cleared so new symbols can fall in. A single spin can produce several cascades before it settles.
The regular symbols are laurel wreaths, scrolls, urns and lyres, framed by stone temple columns in a moonlit graveyard, with a cartoon Reaper watching from beside the grid.
Bets run from 0.10 to 100 per spin. The game is new, and the rulebook detail available outside the game is thinner than for older titles, so this review sticks to what the sources agree on and flags the rest. Read the in-game paytable before staking real money, especially for the minimum cluster size and symbol values, which we could not confirm.
The Last Harvest features explained
The game revolves around three special pieces:
- Souls: multiplier symbols that the whole game is built around. Landing enough of them starts the bonus, and their multipliers are what the Reaper and the Red Ghost feed on.
- Red Ghost: a Wild that moves between spins and after wins when there is room. When a Soul is part of a winning cluster, its multiplier doubles.
- Reaper: appears during the bonus and moves towards the nearest Soul. If it joins a winning cluster that contains a Soul, it consumes that Soul and adds the Soul's multiplier to its own.
- Reaper Cage: a bonus-only tile. If a Soul moves onto it, the Reaper is locked in place for three spins, including the current one, and cannot move or eat Souls.
The idea is a tug of war. Souls doubling their multipliers is good for you, but every Soul the Reaper eats both builds the Reaper's own multiplier and moves the bonus closer to its end. The Cage briefly takes the Reaper out of the chase, which gives the remaining Souls time to grow.
The Last Harvest bonus modes
There are two bonus modes:
- Bonus: triggered by three or more Souls in any combination. The Reaper spawns at a random position and hunts the nearest Soul each spin. The round ends once no Souls are left alive.
- Super Bonus: triggered when three or more red Souls land together. Every Soul becomes red for the feature, and the Reaper again starts the chase.
Because the bonus ends when the Souls are gone rather than after a fixed number of spins, there is no set spin count. One independent tracker captured a screen awarding 10 free spins, so there may also be a spin counter involved; we could not confirm how the two interact. What the red Souls change in the Super Bonus, beyond the trigger, is also not documented in the sources we checked.
The Last Harvest bonus buy options
| Feature | Cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Bonus Enhancer | 4× bet per spin | Base spins with a guaranteed Soul Wild |
| Blood Ante | 8× bet per spin | Base spins in which Souls land red, pointing towards the Super Bonus |
| Bonus Buy | 150× bet | Direct entry to the regular Bonus |
| Super Bonus Buy | 1,300× bet | Direct entry to the Super Bonus |
At a 1.00 bet the regular Bonus costs 150 and the Super Bonus 1,300, almost nine times as much. One independent capture showed a 750 price at a 5.00 stake, which matches the 150x figure. The ante options are expensive by industry standards; the Blood Ante multiplies the cost of every spin by eight for as long as it is on.
The RTP of each buy option is not published in the sources we checked. Bonus buys raise the cost per round sharply and should be treated as a way to see the feature faster, not as a better deal.
The Last Harvest RTP, volatility and max win
The Last Harvest RTP is 96.70%, a house edge of 3.3%, and every source we checked agrees on it, including Stake's game page. The max win is 20,000x your bet, which the game prints on its load screen. At the 100 top bet that is a theoretical 2,000,000.
Volatility is where the sources split. Valkyrie lists medium, BonusTiime says high and one Stake tracker says very high. We use the provider's figure, but a 1,300x Super Bonus and a mechanic built on stacking multipliers suggest that the best results are rare, so set a budget as you would for a high-variance game.
Who The Last Harvest suits
The Last Harvest suits players who like a moving-piece mechanic with a clear story: Souls grow, the Reaper hunts, and the bonus ends when the harvest is done. The seasonal theme gives it a natural audience in October.
Players who want a fully documented game before they commit may prefer to wait, since several details are still unclear. The demo on Stake is the best way to learn how the chase plays out, and our Stake review covers the casino.
Our verdict on The Last Harvest
The Last Harvest has a genuinely original hook. A Reaper that eats multiplier Souls and a Cage that can trap it turn the bonus into a chase rather than a fixed run of spins, and the 96.70% RTP with a 20,000x cap is a fair set of numbers for a cluster slot.
It is also a new game with gaps in the public information: the volatility, the buy options and how the bonus ends are reported differently by different sources. We like the concept and would play it at a low stake in demo first, but we will revisit the score once the full rules are easier to verify.
Overall = 8.4×0.25 + 7.0×0.25 + 7.5×0.2 + 7.0×0.15 + 6.5×0.15 = 7.4. The score rates the game, not your odds of winning.
