How to play The Jade Path Hold & Win
The Jade Path Hold & Win slot uses five reels, three rows and 9 paylines. That is a far smaller grid than most recent Hacksaw games, and it plays more like a traditional jackpot slot than a cluster or cascade title. Bets range from 0.10 to 400 per spin, one of the widest ranges in the studio's catalogue.
Line wins are small. The card royals pay 1x for five of a kind, the four mask and character symbols pay 3x to 25x, and five Wilds on a line pay 25x. The hit rate is listed at about 40%, so wins arrive often but rarely matter much on their own.
The game's value sits in two places: the Jade Hold & Win, which starts when three Orbs land, and the Bonus Choice, which starts when three Bonus symbols land. Queen Aisha, the warrior who fronts the game, stands beside the grid throughout.
The Jade Path Hold & Win features explained
The Jade Hold & Win is a standard respin round with a few Hacksaw touches.
- Trigger: three Coin Orbs or Jackpot Orbs in the base game start the round with 3 respins.
- Respins: every Orb that lands sticks to the grid and resets the counter to 3. A Jaguar Multiplier also resets it.
- Coin Orbs: cash prizes worth 0.2x to 50x your bet.
- Jackpot Orbs: one of five fixed jackpots: Mini 5x, Minor 25x, Major 250x, Mega 500x and Grand 2,500x.
- Jaguar Multipliers: values from 2x to 20x that multiply Coin Orbs only, not jackpots. Only one can land at a time.
- Full grid: if all 15 positions fill, every Orb pays out, the grid clears and the counter resets to 3, so the round continues.
The full-grid reset is the most interesting part, because it turns a filled screen into a second chance rather than the end of the round. The jackpots are fixed multiples of your bet, not progressive pools, so they scale with your stake.
Bonus Choice: Warrior Riches or Jade Bounty
Three Bonus symbols landing together open the Bonus Choice, where you pick one of two features.
- Warrior Riches: 10 free spins with sticky Warrior Wilds. Jaguar Multipliers that land on a winning spin add their value to every Wild on the grid, and those multipliers reset at the start of each new spin. Orbs cannot land during this round.
- Jade Bounty Hold & Win: works like the base Hold & Win, but the grid starts with at least five special symbols, Orbs plus at most one Jaguar Multiplier, and every Coin Orb is worth at least 1x.
The two options suit different players. Warrior Riches depends on Wilds stacking up early so that later multipliers have something to work with. Jade Bounty gives a head start and a higher coin floor, and it is the only route to the jackpots inside the bonus. Bigwinboard's review suggests Jade Bounty carries a slightly higher return, though that figure does not appear in Hacksaw's own listing.
The Jade Path Hold & Win bonus buy options
| Feature | Cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| BonusHunt FeatureSpins | 2× bet per spin | Spins that are three times more likely to trigger a bonus |
| Jade Bonus Choice | 100× bet | Direct entry to the Bonus Choice between Warrior Riches and Jade Bounty Hold & Win |
At a 1.00 bet the Bonus Choice costs 100. Measured against a 2,500x ceiling, that is a steep price: a single buy needs a 25x return just to break even, and the round's upside is limited by the Grand jackpot. Players who buy bonuses in games with 10,000x or higher caps will find less room to recover a bad run here.
BonusHunt doubles the cost of every spin while it is on. Bonus buys raise the cost per round and do not change the house edge in your favour, and their individual RTPs were not published in the sources we checked.
The Jade Path Hold & Win RTP, volatility and max win
The top The Jade Path Hold & Win RTP is 96.19%, a house edge of 3.81%. Hacksaw lists 94.24%, 92.28% and 86.28% versions as well, and operators choose which to run, so check the info screen.
Hacksaw rates the volatility 3 out of 5, and SlotCatalog and Bigwinboard both call it medium. Combined with a roughly 40% hit rate and a low cap, it is one of the gentler Hacksaw releases, which also means the swings are smaller in both directions.
The Jade Path Hold & Win max win is 2,500x your bet, the same as the Grand jackpot. At the 400 top bet that is 1,000,000. The cap is low for a modern Hacksaw slot, where 10,000x or more is common, and it is the main reason we score its potential conservatively.
Design and how it compares
Despite the jade in its name, the theme draws on Mesoamerican jungle imagery: masks, feathered headdresses and jaguars, with Queen Aisha presented as the jungle's strongest warrior. The grid fills most of the screen and the background stays blurred, so the presentation is tidy but not especially memorable.
Bigwinboard gave it a low rating, and we understand why: Hold & Win is a crowded format, and this version does little beyond the full-grid reset and the Bonus Choice to stand out. Fans of Hacksaw's own Le Bandit or Wanted Dead or a Wild will find it far simpler and much lower in ceiling.
Who The Jade Path Hold & Win suits
The Jade Path Hold & Win suits players who like classic jackpot respin games, frequent small wins and medium volatility. The wide bet range also makes it one of the few Hacksaw titles where high stakes up to 400 per spin are possible.
It is a weaker fit for players chasing big multipliers, given the 2,500x cap. Try the free demo on Stake first to see whether the Hold & Win rhythm appeals to you, and read our Stake review for details of the site.
Our verdict on The Jade Path Hold & Win
The Jade Path Hold & Win is a competent but conventional jackpot slot. The respin round is easy to follow, Jaguar Multipliers add some tension to the coin prizes, and the full-grid reset gives a strong round a second life. The Bonus Choice between sticky Wild free spins and an enhanced Hold & Win is a sensible addition, and the 96.19% top RTP is acceptable.
The problem is the ceiling. A 2,500x max win is low for Hacksaw, and it makes the 100x Bonus Choice buy hard to justify. We would point it to players who enjoy Hold & Win formats at medium volatility, while those chasing big wins are better served elsewhere in the studio's catalogue.
Overall = 7.4×0.25 + 5.5×0.25 + 4.5×0.2 + 6.0×0.15 + 6.5×0.15 = 6.0. The score rates the game, not your odds of winning.
Pros and cons

- Full-grid reset keeps a strong respin round going

- Max win of 2,500x is low for a modern Hacksaw slot
